Yin Yoga & Myofascial Release Training

September 26th & 27th

with Gioconda Parker and featuring guest teacher Sam Johnson

Do you love all things Yin? Are you ready to go deeper with your Yin practice or learn to teach Yin?  Maybe you are already a yin teacher, but are ready to add some new skills and refresh your approach.

If any of the above are true, this is your personal invitation to join me and Sam Johnson for weekend of practice, learning and self-discovery.  Yin yoga brings balance to the “yang” nature of our modern lives.  Yin knows how to slow down, arrive fully in the present moment, and how to be with things as they are so we can then choose wisely how next to move into action.

This weekend training will allow you to practice or teach yin yoga with new insights and informed creativity. Our studies focus on the science of connective tissues, incorporating intelligent movement into yin yoga practices, nervous system self-regulation and co-regulation during yin, and using principles of Somatic Experiencing to hold space.

Yin Yoga & Holding Space (with Gioconda): Learn a handful of inter-connected somatic awareness tools that allow you to hold safe and helpful space for yourself and/or your yin yoga students. These are also great life skills, and you’ll find they support your relationships and life journey off the mat.

Yin Yoga & Nervous System Regulation (with Gioconda): Learn more about how our nervous system functions, and how to effectively facilitation co-regulation and self-regulation. Attune to individual and group energies to better respond to the needs of individuals and groups.

Yin Yoga, Connective Tissue and Myofascial Release (with Sam Johnson): The yin yoga practice isn’t about stretching—-it’s about supporting the health and healing of our connective tissues. Learn some of the science behind this theory and more about how important connective tissue is to nourishing movement and longevity. Add a whole new skill set and layer to your yin yoga practice and teaching by incorporating myofascial release (MFR) work.  You’ll learn how this work relates to yin in general, AND learn how to sequence this technique seamlessly and intelligently with poses.

Yin Yoga & Functional Movement (with Sam Johnson): Learn to create sequences with intelligent transitions, range of motion exercises and rhythmic movement to help facilitate better joint mobility, easier nervous system regulation and a resilient body.

Early Bird Pricing: $395. Late Registration: $475.

Course includes a full year access to online resources to help you integrate the learning and apply it to your practice or teaching.

Hours: 9am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday
