I have been teaching yoga for over 20 years and training teachers of yoga for over 10 years. I completed my Master’s Degree in Transpersonal Psychology in 2013 and became a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner in 2015. I offer mentoring, coaching and support to yoga teachers as well as private sessions to yoga students who would like to deepen their practice, work through injuries, or continue their studies in the broader field of yoga. I work with people one on one who have suffered a traumatic experience or want to learn to stay grounded and steady in times of stress and difficulty or when suffering from loss. I also offer small group mentoring sessions for yoga teachers.
Alongside my yoga-based clients, I also work with individuals wishing to integrate their therapeutic process in an embodied way. I use the principles of Somatic Experiencing and my years of work in the field of embodied arts, to help bring body & spirit together in the healing process. The focus of my work is to support clients so they come to know and feel the resources available to them through their own resilient bodies and regulated nervous systems.
I enjoy collaborating with skilled psychotherapists and mental health practitioners as part of a wellness team and I can bring my experience to the team to help find the the right combination of treatment and care to help the people in our care return to health and wholeness.
