Yoga Nidra is one of many powerful meditation tools gathered from yogis. It is the ancient art of “yogic sleep.”
This beloved healing meditation incorporates elements of energy work, hypnosis, visualization, intention setting, and somatic awareness in a single journey through the five brain wave states we experience as humans. Through eight steps, this technology teaches us to slow down our brain, let go of our thoughts, and move into deep rest.
We will explore briefly the history of Yoga Nidra, and then experience the practice from two different lineages. Our time together will include de-briefing after each experience, time for questions and contemplation, and some suggestions for including this practice into your life, your facilitation, or both.
