Vinyasa practice encourages inspiration and creativity, in a nurturing yet challenging flow. Sequencing, music, and dance come together to enhance the natural beauty and grace of the asanas, creating a sort of hybrid of Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Viniyoga and borrowing from the world of dance.

Vinyasa yoga respects the natural flow of breath. We learn to "ride its wave" through a sequence of asanas designed to open the body and quiet the mind. Like water, the vinyasa may flow more rapidly in some moments, and at other moments is still like the surface of a pond.

When practicing Vinyasa yoga, students are guided through a sequence of asanas designed to build a specific awareness in the body, or to help open with the idea of building towards a "crowning" asana.
